Reporting in on Saturday

Hi, Over40Fitness Gals and Guys!
How exciting! Only three more days until Goal Day this Saturday, April 2nd!

Procedure:  Since we have so many first time participants in April, let's try this system:  Text me (291-9500) a photo from your phone of your scale with your achieved weight showing as clear as you can.  If your goal was not weight, but a fitness goal, just text me with confirmation that you achieved your goal, and someone can verify that if needed.  If you don't have text on your phone, please email me direct terrencelau1@gmail.com with your results.  That's all there is to it!  Simple!  But not Easy!

I am really looking forward to this Saturday of hearing all your great news!

YoboFitnessDude Steps It Up

Just saw Rick today....Cindy had mentioned Rick had recently joined "some club" to workout, and i asked him about it.  Turns out, Rick has started into nationally known program called "Cross Fit!"  Awesome, YoboFitnessDude!  You will have to update us with your progress there, and how you enjoy the intense workouts.  To check out more info, see hardassfitness.com.....

Home Stretch Toward Our April Goals!

Aloha, Everyone:
Sorry I haven't posted anything for a while....I hope everyone's spring break went well. 

This is a Big Week for our Group!  This Saturday is Goal Day--time to measure ourselves against our April Goals.  I hear some of us are doing great, and some just need this last week to get there!

Injury update:  PinkFitnessGal (Michele) is still on mend...in PT for knee rehab...will update us on May Goal.  John had to take about one week off for back, so awaiting word if he needs to add on week to Goal Date.  Be safe everyone.....(especially at our age!) we're in for the long haul.  Please take care.

But other than that..........NO EXCUSES!  We're all here to support each other.  Post comments and let us all know how you're progressing.

I'll post later in the week about verifying goal achievements.....until then:

New Design

Sorry PakeDude, but the hummingbirds weren't doing it for me...HA!

I fiddled with the design of the blog, choosing a basketball background...I may fiddle some more later to be more inclusive, but I haven't been able to attend my weekly pick-up game for 2 Saturdays in a row! I need my fix (so I had basketball on my mind)!

I'd like to thank our energetic and enthusiastic leader, DaPakeFitnessDude, for all of his hard work to help keep us motivated! YOUDAMAN! He was also gracious enough to give me an extension over this past weekend, which I put to good use.

Very difficult with volleyball season in full swing, but NO EXCUSES, right?
K-den, my April 2 goal is 217 lbs.

Sister Steph is in Too!

Welcome my "little sister", Stephanie Obatake, to our fine group!  Her April Goal is to work up to "working out 3x/week for 30 minutes minimum each workout!"  She's already getting close, and has already cut down on the white rice this past week....awesome!  I will get her access so she can post individually too.

Still waiting for my sister-in-law to commit......

Saw many of our group at Iolani school event yesterday---you all looked "FABULOUS!"  Keep up the great work everyone!

Well, due to time constraints (like i gotta get to sleep soon!) I will briefly summarize our groups achievements here for March.  Hopefully within the next few days I will get technical help and figure out how to put this all on a chart/excel grid that i can use on this blog.

March Updates Coming Soon

Hey, gang!  I have to gather some more data, but will update blog by tomorrow with March updates....Everyone doing great!  Trying to figure out how to put up a chart to track our month to month progress.  New members too:  Rick has gotten David Toyota, another '75 Iolani classmate, to join us too!  Welcome, Dave!  We have other verbal commitments too, but i haven't seen any written communication to confirm yet.

Injury and Sickness Clause

Hey, Fitness Family!  Happy Girls' Day!  You all are doing awesome!  At least that's what I'm hearing second and third hand...keep up the posts to this blog.....big weekend for the first three amigos (Mike, John, Terrence) coming up.  The rest of you have set up your April goals nicely.

Just a note, in fairness to everyone, if you get sick or especially injured, please don't overdo it.  Mike and I set up a "sickness/injury" clause--if you are sick or injured, please take care, and add in the days you are out to the next goal deadline.  We only compete fairly....we'd never take from a sick or injured member.  Well, at least not yet! haha!

Along that line, Michele may need some extra days as she is seeing doctor soon for knee injury.  NO Cindy, that doesn't mean you get to add in days too....ur still 4/2!

WannabeFits Draw Their Line in the Sand!

Okay, Wendell and Cindy have called us all out!  "No excuses" from Cindy, and Wendell has officially weighed in at 201lbs....with 2lb weight loss per month (so April 2 goal is 199) for one year, or till he hits 180 lbs....then will maintain.  AWESOME!  From the WannabeFits.  Congratulate them loudly and often!

Alooooha....
Ready for the big weigh in. I would like to clarify my goal. I will lose 2 lbs. per month till I reach 175 which ever comes first. If I reach the 175 before a year my goal will be to maintain that weight.
